Awaiting Aunt Jackieby mattmacComment: This image was much better than mine. Looks like you will have a great model on your hands.
We hope your sister is doing better and that she will see this picture soon enough. |

21.52 Barley and poppyby MelethiaComment: OK - I am goign to go against the grain (pun intended). I think this is better in color. The color version just has a more natural feel and flow. The b&w just doesnt feel alive to me. The color one does. When yo get back can you send me a large version of your original? It looks like it would be a fun image to play with. |

Barley and poppy originalby MelethiaComment: This is very cool Deb. I dont remember you showing me this one. The barley itself would make an image on its own but the poppies really send it over. I see this is in originals so I need to find your edit ( I am assuming there is an edit). |

Up Close & Personal - Day 7 by sherpetComment: A very interesting image. This has a slight softness that just makes it all flow together very nicely. The negative space suits it well. |

IMG_1337bw.jpgby BudComment: This is an intriguing image. I love the layers of shadow and light. The angle adds interest. I am left wondering what is going on, what activity is being performed. But this uncertainty isnt unpleasant, it doesnt feel like a cliffhanger. It just feels good. |

St Kilda Marinaby vladoComment: Greetings from the Critique Club -
Just read your description - "best of a bad bunch". LOL - We have all been there for sure. Though I don't think this is as bad as the score you recieved.
You easily met the challenge. The HDR treatment may be a tad heavy on this shot. What I tend to do when I do editing similar to HDR is bump up the blacks a bit afterwards. In this shot everything comes off as almost too pastelly (is that a word). I think if the blacks were a bit more black the image would have popped a bit more.
Really not a horrible shot - just one that didnt reson te with the DPC crowd. We really are a finnicky bunch arent we.
