Now this is one cool shot. Wasnt quite sure what it was a silhouette of from thumbnail but was quite pleased opening this one up. Awesome perspective - alomost doesnt seem real. Very nice.

Well you easliy met the challenge on this shot for sure. Looking at your post challenge description it seems like you have some idea where you needed to go with this one. There is a resizing for web tutorial around this site somewhere if you need help in the proper and best way to resize for the challenges. This alone could make a huge difference ifd you are not using the save for web feature properly. That alone could take care of most of your pixelated and blur issues with this shot.

Some cloning could have cleaned up your black background a bit to make that nice and smooth. The spots are distracting. The colors are a bit flat here as well. A bit more saturation could have made this pop out more. With a simple idea like this you really need the technicals to be sharp to score well.

Overall an average shot that probably scored right around where it should have. Keep on submitting and your skills and scores will grow. (Love your cat shots). Good luck on future challenges.

Well - looking at your description it seems like you have a general understanding where this shot is lacking. The lighting is weak and the colors are flat. The orange tint to the picture overall is unflattering. I think a tweak in levels or curves could have brought out the brightness and natural colors of your subjects.

A nice setup. It does have a feel of a battle between the corn and peas. You definitely met the challenge with this pic. For me the angle of the plate is a bit extreme - it almost makes me a bit dizzy.

The border is an odd color and doesnt suit the image IMO. I am assuming you pulled the color off of one of the peas but I think a thin black border would have suited this better.

Looking down now at earlier comments it seems like you recieved great feedback which is sometimes hard to come by and the lower and mid range shots. Keep working at it and trying out different stuff and you will be breaking out of the 4s and 5s in no time. GOod luck in future challenges.

Let me first say isnt it awesome when we surpass our own predictions? You have an interesting concept here. Almost like a clash between the Mods and the Rockers.

The New guys in the background look great. The blur is nice and the lighting on them is great. The peas up front seem to be a bit dark or contrasty to me. A bit lighter and maybe a tad more color sat could have been nice. I also think that more space onthe bottom to balance out the empty space on top could have been nice as well. The crop on the bottom feels a bit too tight.

I think you scored about right if not a little low. But how can you complain especially considering how many 1s and 2s you recieved - an accomplishment in itself. Nice shot and good luck in future challenges.

Greetings from the Critique Club fellow Untouchable - Lets see if I can do you justice here.

Love the pose. Great humor (quite the wig)and the contradiction between happy peaceloving long hair hippy freak and the look he has that I am assuming is towards the thought of eating peas (yuk) is entertaining. It does look like you had fun with the shoot.

I think the peas needed to be on a bit more of an angle to see the whole peace sign. You can tell what it is but it isnt prominent enough to stand out strong. They also seemto have a bit of a disconnect with the model becuase of the size of the peace sign and the blur around it. The editing is cool and funky with a nice glow to it overall.

I think the voting was a bit harsh on yours - the ones and twos were unneccessary. SHould have been higher. Now on to the next challenge.
