Week 02 - Fog.jpgby KenComment: I like dark shots like this, even though they don't normally do very well on this site. There is just enough detail to make this interesting. The dark tones are very rich, and like the placement of the light/reflections in the photo. The columns down the left side lead you in. |

Week 5 - Cartesiaby wickee_oneComment: Poor Cartesia! I hope she is feeling better now. The skin/hair tones are very good, and there is nice detail in her eyes, especially her right eye. I think I might like it a little better if the crop wasn't as tight. |

Week 2 - Denageby CapeSailComment: I don't think I've ever done a portrait, so am really out of my element here. You have a lovely girlfriend, and think if anything, I'd like to see her eyes a little better. |

Inside Viewby BAMartinComment: Good textures. Also, my eyes are drawn into the photo to the light area on the floor in the next room. It would be nice to have something of interest sitting in that area. There are lots of interesting things here, but no one subject to grab your attention. Your photograph does make be wonder about the history of this place...I'll bet it's interesting. |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment: I like the highlights in the water and the sky. They help balance out the very dark areas of the photo. The gulls in silhouette against the sky add a lot of interest. |

one, two, three & roverby RetroesqueComment: After reading all of the other comments, I don't know what else to add. Looking at this photo before reading the comments I thought that these people were so caught up in their conversations, they didn't even know that you were aiming a camera at them. I'd love to be eavsdropping on those conversations. What is the guy in the upper left describing...what is the girl saying to the guys that must be very amusing. Besides being an interesting photo, the b/w conversion is good, and the square crop works well. |

Street Walkerby pawdrixComment: I agree with a couple of other comments that the sharply focused silhouette works really well with the OOF background. Even her shoes have highlights so you don't lose them in the dark area of the photo. This is a nicely composed, strong image. I don't see anything that I don't like. |

main-02-02-08-5425.jpgby fixedintimeComment: Having the clouds show through in the background is very nice...this will make a good overlay. I think that the photo would be better if it had another element to add a focal point for the viewer. |
