Shots like this are done so often, I find myself looking at the text being used.

It's an interesting shape and love the color, but wish the book being used was recognizable as a romance novel, or maybe music sheets for a love song, or the pages of a photo album showing wedding shots or a couple standing close. With the dictionary page, I find myself looking for the connection in the words visible.. one of which is "Amourette", or as the French to English translator defines: passing fancy.

So much for the beating as one for me. :)

The onboard flash doesn't help. When framing, I find it distracting to see hands and feet unintentionally cut off... either all in or all out, even on stuffed animals. A tighter shot on the faces might have helped.

But the photo still made me smile.

I would have been tempted to reshoot to eliminate the stray flame trail on the left side (starting point?).

The busy background doesn't help here, and I probably would have framed it a bit lower. Having said that, it's a wonderful moment captured. Thanks for sharing it.

I'll Love You . . . Forever

Not sure a lesbian vampire about to feed translates to "love", but (IMO) the execution here is where I find fault. A lot of mood could have been created if it wasn't just a stark white shot. Red curtain background, or in a darker bedroom setting with creepy candelabras around, or simply directional lighting to create some mood. Or maybe even something not so cliche when it comes to vampires... a dark alley, parking garage, anything! As it is, it looks like some woman with pointy teeth squeezing the boobs of some drunk chic in front of some bright lights. I guess I just expect more atmosphere when I see vampires attacking naked women lol.

Don't get me wrong, I still like the shot. It just looks like every other glamour pic on the web to me and could really have benefited from going the extra mile with a little creative lighting or props. I'm giving it an 8, but only because I had to deduct one point because the vampires hands are in the way.
