Your composition is great (even the clouds are exactly where they should be). You have three strong colors, perfect! And the subject is interesting, makes me dream. I really like it (8). You have everything in there for a top picture, except the DPC-worshiped super sharpness and contrast, I think.

For me it's a textbook example how you can turn an average photo (it's just a guess, sorry if I'm wrong) into a fantastic picture with some clever post-processing. Well done and congratulations on the blue!

Hi there, teammate. I already know that you are a bit disappointed with your score, so I'll try to guess why it does not please the crowds. Firstly, it sounds a bit stupid but I think the flower coming down from the upper right corner looks a bit unnatural and set up. Parallel and maybe slightly wrapped in the paper might have worked better.
Secondly, the composition, the focus and the lighting are all on the paper. I do absolutely love the 3D-impression you get from the crinkles and shadows. Unfortunately, the perfection in one place draws the attention away from the flower. I doubt it's very comforting, but I'm sure that in a "letter" challenge it would have scored very well.

Obviously I cannot vote, but I would have given you a 6

Maybe a bit too much void on the left. Very original, like a beauty from another planet. Fantastic colours. Macro at its best!

It's nice to be shown the other side of things from time to time. It's also a dangerous way to go, but you mastered it with a fantastic composition! 10

The processing is a bit harsh for me, it looks more like paper than a blossom

The very dramatic composition loses a bit the essence of the flowers.

It welcomes you into the buzzing world of insects. The right dose of impressionism works very well for me.

I really like this. It's one of the few flower shots which tells a story beside just being aesthetic. Well done!

Technically perfect, but... that's the DOF you use on a model car, not a flower ;-) It makes it look somewhat artificial.
