IMO there is just too much going on here for it to be appealing to the eye. Don't get me wrong it's a good photo and I like it but with the voters they like to move fast and there is too much here to look at so they vote it lower.

You did a good job on cropping and the angle is good but it's just busy. For what it's worth I was on of your 6's

You're sky killed you here. The colors need a bit of saturation and the sky is just about plain blue. Watch that and look thru other peoples pictures. Not many winners with a plain sky.

Hey I liked this one. It's a good shot from you and I think it didn't do better was because the WOW factor but not every shot has to have that. I haven't found that touch yet but when I do I will share it with ya.

This is a good picture but the edges are too dark. Try easing off some but Sandy was right. This should have placed better than 182. Also maybe a dash more color too. Not a lot jsut a tiny little bit.

Well I think you should have got better than a 438 but look at it like this, you could have got last. haha

Okay anyway... I think the flash might have really hurt you here. You're too close to your subject and the flash bounced off him and reflected back into the camera instead of just lighting him up. I do like the trail in the BG but I think you are in the wrong spot. You should have been more centered and let the road take the eyes around the curve along with your runner.

Also I noticed that you shot this at ISO 400 with 1/400th of a second, any reason why or was it on auto???
