Those net curtains (as we also have in England) make the scene for me. Nice to see your offering, JJ. Welcome. Hope all is well.

I was always a fan of mackerel, ever since the days I lived in Cornwall and fished off the cliffs for them. Hungry days back then, I can tell you. I remember resting my rod on a rock one night only to see it wrenched off the cliff to disappear down into the sea. The sole fellow fisherman cast and caught my line. I hauled in the biggest horse mackerel ever. Out of honour for saving my rod, I gave that nice fish to the fellow. I tied the line to a tree and came back at low tide to retrieve the rod...

I've been enjoying your fish photos, Roger. But my question is: Is that the same fish? Do you yank it out of the fridge and shoot it and then chuck it back in again? Mackerel goes off pretty quickly, as I remember.

That looks like a vicious sea. What a nice day to go to the beach (with a camera). I like the detail.

Very nice scene for this challenge. I used to work underground in mines so have a special appreciation of this image. 7.

Rape all over the place. All for the sake of bio-diesel. Nice photo of this springtime green scene. My family lives in Sussex so this one is familiar.

The idea is good, IMO. I wonder what might make for more drama? Raking light coming in from an out of frame window? A spilled glass? Some deep shadow on the arm hinting at the body out of frame? Just thinking what I might do to enhance the visual theatre.
