22by mia67Comment: Very intimate view, one the actual subject can never see for herself, except in a copy of the photo. A view that will never really be part of the consciousness of a person, since side-views are not how we really think. I find side views this close, this near the blood, sweat, and tears of skin and eyes to be both fascinating and disturbing. |

IMG_2056.jpgby mkComment: Like backgrounds to classic Americana, slipping into the past (since everyone travels by plane and everything is made somewhere else and freight train, freight train ain't needed no more). I can see that vision , as a I lean up against the railroad ties, a bottle of cheap liquor rotting my guts, the smell of diesel, the taste of dust, too drunk to head down the line to the next flop house. Seeds of inspiration your photo... Message edited by author 2007-05-29 14:27:06. |

red bagsby sevilduvarciComment: I like the looming shadows. One has to get up pretty early to get the morning ones these days (about 4:45am). So evening ones are a little more convenient. Those bags are another story, though ;-) |

_MG_6589_2.jpgby katemullerComment: This is a pretty nice shot as well - your outtake, I know. Perhaps even nicer than the desat version. I was reading a book on seascape/maritime painting recently and learning about how such a scene is painted, the undercoats, shadows, hues, reflections etc. It is fascinating how such a view is made of of many visual effects working in harmony. The fact that yours was records in the click of a second, rather than several days of oil painting, makes it no less valuable to me. Message edited by author 2007-05-29 14:35:19. |

Garden Pondby sherpetComment: Now did Peter finish that barrel off before you put it to such good use ;-). Nice garden. As I remember, it gets pretty humid up where you are. Edited for spelling.. Message edited by author 2007-05-27 16:04:21. |
