I like the set up in this shot with those swords. However I think it would have been more effective with the light in a different position.

I'm glad they fixed this. At first I was really interested in seeing this whole thing cause the thumbnail looked awesome. Then the photo was all green and screwed up. This is my favorite shot of the week. I love how clear it is, hope that green didn't affect your score at first cause this should be up at the top. Congrats on this awesome shot.

This is great. I want to do IR photo's but I read my camera has something in it that makes it so they don't turn out that good. 9 -Jubei

Ok this is my first try at an in depth critique so don't know anything too personal or if I miss something cause I'm learning and I figure I'll learn things from helping out with the critique club. This was one of my favorite shots of the week.

COMPOSITION - I like the angle where you took this shot. At first I thought you were tilting the camera a little, but the houses in the background are straight. It looks like the truck knocked the pole a little. The exposure seems just a tad bright. The reflections on the trucks roof are perfect for the situation. I would have liked to see it cropped a little less on the right to get more of the truck's back in the shot.

BACKGROUND- The background seems fine for the situation. It's not cluttered with onlookers and you've blocked a lot of it with how close you are to the truck which is good, cause I don't think it would have looked as good if the background had cars and was messy.

CAMERA WORK- Focus and sharpness are good. The DOF is good, I thought what it would have looked like with a bigger aperature, but then I thought that the background is fine.

Digital Processing- It is fine. There are a few small artifacts or jaggies(whatever they are) around the grass in the shadow and the lines in the truck bed are a little jaggy. But they are just small things.

My Opinion- As I said that this was one of my favorite shots. It fit the theme perfectly, and it was very powerful. The message of your title was great too. Thanks for sharing this shot was great!

"Critique Club Comment"

This was a good shot for a photojournalism shot.
COMPOSITION- This is a good shot for the challenge. I didn't know bottled water created any conflicts with people. Shows what I knew. She doesn't look in protest with a smile. I would have liked to see it cropped a little less to get the rest of her feet into the shot. The angle where you took this is great, you've done good in not getting your shadow into the shot with where the sun is. I like how you've got the website on the sign too, that tells the story. Good work.

BACKGROUND- The background is kind of plain. I wonder if you could have used a bigger aperature to blur out the background and just have her in focus. If there were more people all lined up with signs that would have worked too.

Camera Work- Focus and detail on her are great. Colors are nice and not messed up. Have the sign and her in good detail is what this shot is about.

DIgital Processing- you've done a great job with it. The colors and everything are good. I don't know what causes the compression artifacts but it looks like you have a very small amount of them around the top part of her chair in the shadows. I wonder why its like that in shadows. I think if we could save it with a bigger file it would have totally got rid of those.

My Opinion- I thought this told a great story. I had rated it above average during the voting. Great shot and great story behind it. Thanks for sharing.
