Shined Up For The Showby GallatinComment: Nice low-key shot. The red looks great, only wish the sky wasn't washed out. Framing the shot so that the back end of the tan car in the background isn't visible might work better. |

4 Mile Trailby JimQComment: Very nice contrasts and detail. That is a trail I would definitely like to go on = ) |

Graveyardby emorgan49Comment: The softening applied to this might be more effective with a shallower depth of field. |

Lincolnshire Woldsby FalcComment: This image is a little soft for my taste. It looks like there should be detail in the landscape, but that it is smoothed over. |

Last Day's Lightby Resusit8uComment: Captivating waterfall. This shot might benefit from some dodging and/or burning to fix the overexposed section at the top and add more emotion to the scene overall. I would definitely go back and get a variety of shots (if you haven't already), as I'm sure there is a lot to see here. |

Feeding The Worldby Prime_TimeComment: I like the subject, but am not wild about the composition. I think the length and shape of the grain could be used to strengthen the composition, maybe having some prevalent diagonals. There doesn't seem to be much form to the subject here, and imho, the more interesting subject is the taller strand to the left, though the focus is on the center. The exposure itself is good (though a little oversharpened). |

On the Runby JackoComment: You've certainly captured a lot of detail on the bug. I think I'd like to see all of the legs and antennae in focus, but that's pretty much nitpicking. Well done. |

Who are you?by sjonniComment: Great focus and exposure! One of my favorite shots so far. Nicely done. |

Small Kite, Tall Grassby lagavulinComment: I think in this case, fill flash would work well. The woman is underexposed leaving the sky correctly exposed (though washed out). Putting some light on your subject would better convey your message. If fill flash wasn't possible, I would overexpose the shot (compared to this exposure). Losing the detail in the sky wouldn't detract, as there isn't much sky detail or color to begin with. |

Coming Homeby CamComment: Seems to be some red and green colors mixed in the water, giving it a blotchy appearance. It seems to me that the boat is the focus of this image, and I think it would have more impact without the bird, but then the pole would be a nuisance too. Cloning the bird out might help, or maybe a different angle. |
