reviving his memoriesby MephistoComment: Ahhhhh, the places of memories! The average observer may see junk while the individual who experienced the place holds great treasures in his or her heart! :)

Old Town Auburnby jdannelsComment: The "feel" here brings back many memories of nights spent running in training for a marathon! :)
Of course, that was about 20 years ago in Tallahassee, FL, and this reminds me of the street corner across from the state capitol at the top of Apalachee Parkway where I would turn right to go home on the last half of a 9.5 or 10 mile route.
I only give you all this info. to underscore what an excellent creation this is...evocative, moody, obviously dark, and in many ways (I would guess) universally experiential. Bottom Line: Great Work! :) |

Capriby jdannelsComment: Most Excellent, Classic Lady! :)
(Now you've got me working hard not to ruin my keyboard from all the drooling!) :} I am partial to the low-angle on wide-angle (nearly "fish-eye") setting...Is that 28mm? 18mm? Wider? Great Work! Let me know anytime you post one of these, and you will almost always have at least one favorite for your efforts!
Thanks for the privilege of viewing such amazing beauty! :) |

Week 4by muz64Comment: The little lady's expression is priceless...excellent timing! Grandma hiding face says, "I'm being proudly humble and don't want anybody taking my picture ever!" (I know that lady! She is my "Mother"!)
The only technique I know of that will even come close to working for people, like that is "Shock & Awe!" Sneak into her local "room-sized zone," focus on back of head or shoulders, have an accomplice near you call her name, and then as she begins to turn in your direction press down the shutter release set on multiple takes, and slam that SD card as fast as your camera will let you go!
Cheers! G'Day! :) |

Week 5by chris48083Comment: The expression of his face (especially the lines above his eyes)and the feel of the photo gives it a John Cusack over-all personality...generally serious with a rye wit and mischief around the edges. :} |

Wk-4_B&W-Side-Challenge.jpgby twmaxComment: The wide-angle creates a rather ominous aspect to the street, but I like that because it fits for this photo. As merely a personal preference, I would probably have cropped out the van on the left, and past the cab of the truck on the right (in order to see a full car - mostly - first.) Good Job! :) |
