Where the forest endsby birkinComment: Interesting capture! The tree on the far left seems to be a mirror-image of the man walking at the water's edge. Great composition! Your leading lines are leading the eyes to the man as your minimalist subject. Great job! :) |

On a Hillby FirstyComment: The "floating branch" is do-able for balance & framing, but overall IMHO the photo would have been helped by reframing that element out of the photo. Suggestion: Stand two feet to the left. :) |

Growing my own!by TlemetryComment: Nice still life. Nice idea...Sounds like one of my own, and sadly it will score just about as well because its out there on the edge of DMNC. I wish you all the best! because people like us tend to over-think our compositions. You obviously gave this much thought. Consider doing what I have begun to do, "bounce your ideas off" a respected friend or relative who has shown consistent art appreciation. My wife has helped me on numerous occasions. (I hope this is helpful.) |
