A Different Type of Sportby tragicharpyComment: Not sure where you had the chance to see this, but very cool :-) I like how you made it older looking by putting it in sepia... very cool. Good composition... wish the horse wasn't completely in shadows though, but I'm guessing this couldn't be helped... Is this one of those dinner places the knights castles or whatever. Pretty cool |

Showdownby zeuszenComment: Bocci ball? This is really interesting, not sure what you did here to get the outcome you got. I think it is pretty cool actually. A very artistic look at the sport, which I like, no one said sports had to be a straight on action person to person, background blurred shot :-) This is very cool, I love the black and white, and you can just kind of see whats happening without having to see the front of the people. I'm going to go out on a limb here and give this a -10- because it is so unique and interesting. Nicely done! |

heels over headby dc broughtonComment: This is one of the few better known sports that I've never shot but would like to. Good action here, wish I could have seen either the front of the horse, or more of the person, and I wish you would have gotten the person completely in the frame. Also I would have cropped off as tight as possible from the bottom and the left side. I'm guessing you took this from pretty far away and couldn't zoom in too much? I would have liked to have seen more of the person and maybe even less of the horse. but good try... |

Suits at the Beachby ImagineerComment: Nice catch with both players on the different sides in midair. I think I would have zoomed in quite a bit closer and made this a vertical shot to include just the two players and the ball... I think this would have had more impact and would have kept the viewers eyes where they should be, where the action is. As it is I think there is too much going on here. IMHO of course. It bothers me that you can't see either of the two main players face's but thats hard in volleyball. Nice action though, and pretty good color. |

Blocked Shotby jab119Comment: Nice clear shot here, wish they all weren't almost just standing on the ground, but it's a fun shot. I love the looks on their faces especially the middle kid's not sure how one would twist yourself into that position, but it looks painful. A fun shot, that if you know the kids, I'm sure they'd love to have a copy! Good catch of the ball and everything! Not extremely exciting but a nice solid sports shot. -8- |

Wind Surfingby agwrightComment: Nice action shot, very good exposure here. I wish he was more to the left hand corner, it would have been better composition I think although I do like the fact that there is some room for him to go into, I think there is almost too much... getting more of the back wave and less of the left side would have been nice, still a nice clear, simple, beautifully done shot... -9- |

Soccer by arnitComment: Wonderful action here! Excellent catch! Shame about that guy on the left, he really got in the way. Excellent exposure, excellent catch, tons of action, great colors but that guy is OBNOXIOUS... my eye keeps going to him. I think maybe I would have cropped at least some of him out, but not sure how I would have cropped him... anyway, except for that great shot! -9- |

The Sideline Coachby OneSweetSinComment: There's something off about this picture, I think it is the focus, but also maybe there is too much contrast? I'm not sure if thats what it is but it is a good captured moment in time. Not a lot of action here, and truthfully if it wasn't for the kids jersey I wouldn't necessarily think that this was sports. |

Missed Opportunityby ttreitComment: Hehehe... thats fun, but I'm wondering where all the other players are? I like all of the shadows all over the place it kind of looks like those are other players waiting for the guy. The photo looks a bit underexposed, I think a little more color in the guy and the hockey stick might have been nice... There also doesn't really seem to be much composition, I find myself looking at the guys eyes and not the ball which is distracting... |

Retiredby ibequeenComment: I like how the ball is on the dead grass with live grass all around it, looks at though the ball has been sitting there for quite a while. It bothers me there is no action here... maybe the blur of a foot leaving the photo, I'm not sure, but it's a pretty plain photo as is. Nothing that really interests me too much here. Sorry |
