ANNO 1738by PhilosComment: Very nice use of grain. Good use of a lot of key elements of photography here... good reflection, nice job getting down and getting a slightly different perspective, and thank you for having something in the foreground to add interest. Good use of rule of thirds as well. I like the sepia! |

LOUD Triadby M.O.C.Comment: nice capture!! I always have difficulty getting lighning. While, I know that this may have been difficult, as you had to shoot where you thought you'd get the best lighting... having something in the foreground, or adding something for interest besides just the lightning might have been nice. Personally I don't think the grain adds to the photo, nore does it necessarily detract. |

When the Day Is Done...by OdysseyF22Comment: Personally, I feel you could have played with your lighting and set up a bit more here... I'm not sure the harsh shadows lend well to the photo. The grain is fine for this image... the image just doesn't look coherrent to me for some reason... I'm not drawn in to any one thing... |

Louisiana Lifeby sherComment: I like this image a lot... I like the subtle... slightly muted/grayish colors... I think that the image grain adds to the photo, although I can't really put my finger on exactly how. However, the grain does look a little fake to me, and not like what you would get from film. -9- |

Rebel by gaurawaComment: GREAT use of grain to enhance this image... gives it a sort of dirty, grungy feel that adds to the rebel you are saying he is in the title. I like this a lot... and I can see it maybe from the 60's or 70' in terms of film and image styles. -10- |

Hanging Out At The Warehousesby tsheetsComment: Nice light application of grain... and desat here... gives it a kind of dreamy, otherworldly type look. I'm not sure I care for the fact that she is dead center... and it might have been interesting to have her maybe in the bottom right corner... with the pole leading up to her? Nice image though. |

Larus grainulus - Speckled Gullby orussellComment: Personally I don't feel that the usage of grain was helpful in this image, I think it rather took it down a notch. Good catch, but I don't care for how you fit it into the challenge. |
