be imaginativeby lobrinComment: Or reflective :) Nice take. I am unsure about the painterly look to the image, but I guess it's matter of taste. Also, rotating 180 deg or flipping could have made for an interesting image too, given the underexposure have preserved more sky details on the reflected scene. |

60 pounds down, 60 to go.by Yo_SpiffComment: Yo_Spiff! Yo_Spiff! Ok, I spend too much time reading the forums :)
I like this, nice old time feeling and good framing. And love the camera bag on the back. My only gripe might be the contrast, as on my monitor shows a bit too dull (to my taste, obviously).
Good luck with the next 60 and many congratulations on the 60 already gone, it's hard work! |

RadioFlyerby bspurgeonComment: That's quite interesting, what our mind does at time. I mean.
a friend of my dad used to dive and fish coral pretty deep, up to 100m. He is a biologist as well, so perfectly aware that red bandwith is one of the first to kiss goodbye and disappear when diving deep. Still, he could swear he could see the coral as red anyway :)
This said, I have to admit my brain lacked the previous exposure to work out the trick wih this image, as you say it's a north American icon :) Message edited by author 2012-01-16 06:40:59. |

Streetcar Shooterby LoViComment: That's actually great. Wanting to rest and stare, there are many potential stories to be imagined. |

Upliftby TiberiusComment: Nice geometry and processing. I wonder if it would work better with a crop excluding the top element. |

Space Perceptionby casdsrComment: I like the tones and general feel. I am a bit uncertain about the framing and angle, like there was a torn wish to include more of the tops and more of the stairs, with the image undecided there in the middle.
For sure it would work better for me with a crop exclusing completely the rail on the right, the pink wall is beautiful. actually, a tigher oblique crop including the pink wall/window and the tiles on the opposite wall would have been quite nice and enahnce the feel of descent which perhaps you wished to depict. |

Tunnel of Fantasyby tvsometimeComment: I was about to give this a 5, then I thought how emotive the sight of this would be for a child. The expectation, the day out and the special occasion, and the rows of seats drifting in darkness when lights goes down. As adults we progressively loose that, what a pity. 8 |
