Interesting and illustrative. Perhaps not too moving, despite of the pleasant concept.

The Nonconformist chapel

Comment:
Nice perspective, it might have been even more imposing with a tighter crop, if that was the intention. And that would have afforded for more of the interesting details of the structure to show off, the mark of the time is always quite moving. The lack of detail in the sky, along with saturation and what looks like a bit of CA in the branches, damage a bit the final result with this choise of framing. The surroundings are certainly interesting, but perhaps underexposure and/or a polarizer would have helped, in my opinion.

That kind of almost solidified sky is always a bit over the top for me, but here it works well in conveying the intended mood, as it does the contrasty PP.

Very good BW. Not sure if emotive, but it's a good portrait of a certain England, I like it. 7

While this kind of look is frequently coupled with that kind of contrast on the sky, I personally would have found the picture more emotive (in the sense of evoking the awe of being there in person in a sunny day) if the sky was far more natural looking. But that's just me, I guess :)
Good choice of structure.

Reflections of the past

Comment:
Very good framing, and I mean it. The concept is always interesting, even though not too new. I'll be honest. I don't find it very moving. I would have, perhaps, if the reflected oldies were obviously ramshackled, kind of suggesting that the new is on it's way to crush the old. Or if the reflected building were not imposing, if I could see and old past in the reflections, rather than something that comes from the past but is still here and, well mantained, will stay.
Sorry if perhaps sounds like a criticism, is more like a well meant suggestion.
Technically, very good job, I am just uncertain about the saturation, hue and loss of detail on the reflections, but it really is a matter of taste.

I like your take, certainly original and very true. Possibly I would have liked to see a bit more blurry details of the pub, not because of the building/structure requirements in the challenge description, but because it would have helped the image speaking even without a title. Then, it's all personal perception, and heavily dependent on the number of pints :)

Impressive. Cambodia? I am a bit divided about this image. In order to find this moving, I need to think of myself walking surrounded by this amazing architecture and surroundings, in the silence, stopping by to examine the countless statues and details, to look at the looming trees and shade my face from the sun spearing them. To stop and reflect on how long silence came quietly living there, filling everything. The image evokes all of this with a certain effort on my part, and the help of countless documentaries and my very own memories. Perhaps not a defect of the image, but of the subject matter. Very good job in the B&W processing and framing.

I love the real and implied geometries, and the black and white tratment. Contrast is excellent and well suiting, it reminds me of some Russian cinematography. The riddle, if there is one, is however lost on me..

Impressive architecture, great framing and use of the human figures to illustrate scale. Not necessarily moving though, or perhaps it would if seen printed large format. Very good, competent work,
