The lighting is off. It would be better if it were taken from the left or right of the birds so that you aren't facing the sun's reflection.

It has such shallow DOF that it makes my eyes go wonky. The only improvement
i would do is add some DOF so that the middle of the leaf is clearer, with the background and stem of leaf still out-of-focus. Still, goo photo.

Wow. I can't believe how under-rated this photo is. First it's not your standard person-forcing-a-smile-for-a-friends-challenge-entry. It's an abstract study, folks. Lots of curls and circles and the shadows created. Using a point of view that is original and a nice tight crop (which works in this case).

I think it's a good shot with room for improvement, but under-appreciated.
