Challenge
- Relevant to the Challenge? Yes
- Is subject unique (vs. unoriginal or rehashed)? Yes

Compostion
- Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? Rule of thirds. Bring the chop/skillet/flame down in the image. If you hade to compose/crop something out above that try a large piece of black spray painted cardboard well behind the skillet.
- Is there anything missing? Show me more of the knife. It seems lost.
- Good use of Depth of Field? Yes. Nice out-of-focus background including the pork chop in the skillet.

Lighting
- Good use of light? Yes.
- Good use of shadows? Yes
- Are there any overly dark shadows? I actually think it works for this photo. The skillet is dark, but you'd have lost the flames is you'd put more light there.

Aesthetics/Artistic Appeal:
- What is my reaction or feelings? LOSE THE DATE STAMP. You've probably gotten many comments on this already, but ultimately it's what destroys the quality of the image.

This is one of the few images in these two challenges that I think a stroke/border works for. Nice image. The colors seem to be weighted to the right side. Switch the spatula with the yellow pepper & tomatoes. My eye keeps going to the yellow...

The details of the rice are too soft. I don't like how the placemat and chop sticks are unsharp. Use a little wider DOF.

Challenge
- Relevant to the Challenge? Yes
- Is subject unique (vs. unoriginal or rehashed)? Yes

Compostion
- Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? The lines on the table are a bit distracting, however the one under the spoon has a nice shadow effect going for it. More texture under the bowl or less? I can't decide. I like that the bowl is slightly off-center and out-of-frame with the diagonal pointing spoon.
- Good use of Depth of Field? Yes. The whole image is nicely sharp.

Lighting
- Good use of light? Yes and no. I love the shadows, but the reflection in the bowl gives me fits. "I like it. It's too much." The handle of the spoon is blown out though so I ultimately have to go with soften the light a little.

Aesthetics/Artistic Appeal:
- What is my reaction or feelings? A well done shot. I keep looking into the reflection in the spoon and begin to daydream. Good work.

- Is subject unique (vs. unoriginal or rehashed)? Yes

Compostion
- Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? Great compostition/arangement. Do me a favor? Pick that one seed out of the lemon. (I hope I'm not nit-picking...
- Good use of Depth of Field? Yes, the background is nicely out-of-focus with the marbled ham looking marvelous.

Lighting
- Good use of light? Yes, however a touch of foreground lighting would take care of that dark bit of the sliced ham. Some of the shadows are blocked-up.

Aesthetics/Artistic Appeal:
- What is my reaction or feelings? It's been years since I've eaten pork, but this is a very appealing image.

The viewpoint is not interesting. I'd prefer to see the front of the dafidils
