The Eye of a Black Holeby butch81385Comment: first I cropped in around the whole eyeball and blacked out everythinge besides the colored part (didnt worry about getting too close). Then I applied curves to make the eye darker, then I applied levels (very extreme S curve. the left side was all the way at the bottom until the first line). then I burned around the edges with a airbrush to get rid of any white. then I cloned out a highlight near the pupil on the top, then i smudged and blurred near the top due to a reflection of the rest of my room, then i dodged some dark spots and burned some more highlights, then I applied unsharp mask and made some minor adjustment to the levels curves to make sure no white was showing. then I added some more black around it because the resolution wasnt high enough to submit a full size picture. then I added the border, saved, resized slightly, and submitted :) |

Eiffel Towerby butch81385Comment: I guess it is a good thing that my night shots didnt turn out (which I fully expected since they were taken on a moving bus.... :) ) |

jaguarby ArpeggioAngelComment: Wonderful expression and detail! Too bad the glass caused you to get a little off focus. I personally can't get over the intense look in his eyes! In fact, the eyes are almost beautiful enough on their own! Depending on how large the original is, you should maybe try to crop a close-up of his eye with some spots around it. |

Salisbury Cathedralby milo655321Comment: To me this shot is beggin for a portrait orientation as opposed to landscape. I catch myself looking at the ceiling then trying to tilt my head down lower trying to see more of it. Hopefully I will be visiting Salisbury Catedral within a couple months and will be able to see if it is worthy of a portrait orientation. Still worth an 8 for the details and perfect exposure. |

Long ago in times untold...by awpollardComment: I feel the area to the left of the scale is a little blown out. It also washes out the details from the left side of the scale as well. 5 |

To think or not to thinkby TOYComment: Very nice composition. Would have done better with another step above her head in my opinion, but the lighting and expression just work. 8 |
