the rider looks as blurred as the background. Probably because they are right next to each other. More distance between the two would have increased this photo loads

as both the rider and the background are quite blurred it doesn't really achieve the pure motion panning technique. A pity as the colours and the subject would be spot on

I really wish this photo has a little more motion in it. The composition is really good and the lighting, it just doesn't give me the sense of speed.

beautiful capture, however the background really doesn't give the impression of speed. Shutter speed of 1/15s seems to do the job well. I'd like to see the shutter speed of this photo and quite a few others

2 things I'd do differently. Firstly the composition, either make the water a feature or the sky or crop into the train more. The train is lost at the moment on a middle horizon. Secondly, I'm starting to learn that the simpler the photo is the better. There is too much going on here and the eye doesn't know where to go.
