The first thing I thought of when I saw this photo was the comic where a tooth brush and toilet paper were complaining to each other about how lousy their jobs were. It's nice to see a photo where toothbrushes have some nice moments in life, as well.

I'm comming back again and again to this photo to understand why is that "I love you...(heart)" written... Indeed, why?
I see an excellent portrait, wonderful eyes and smile. But, the model is not young, ok, doesn't look childish enough to write a message in the hand. She can convey that message in many other ways...At least, she could have written something like "Je t'aime", "ich liebe Dich", or keep only the heart, as not to have this long kitchy message.
Sometimes people give terrible votes to great photos because the photo didn't meet the challenge. I feel that here, the message was written to keep the photo romantic.

Or, I'm missing something really huge?

Signore Silvestro, you've been sitting at the top part of my statistically favourite photographers, but I hesitated to add you to the list of my favourites. But, this image pushes the button so strongly, that I can't resist. I'm happy to add you to the list of people whose photos I eagerly wait.

I gave 9 to the romance bench and I didn't vote this challenge. I agree with you, this is a better photo.

Technically, this photo is not good at all. In fact, it's terrible. I guess it can be used as a textbook example on fixing mistakes.

But, the emotion that this photo conveys, the genuine smile and the placement of the hand close to heart, is so powerful, that only soulless people can't feel. This photo deserves much much more.

But, I use that technique for voters, that is, by voting I don't only judge the photographer and the photography, but primarily myself. Just for the record, I didn't vote on this challenge, because it was really tiring: so many wonderful and extremely well done shots. And, your photo was one of the most difficult ones to vote.

As for the pattern in the photo, I saw it and I liked it, but I don't really know if the blur helped it. Now I know that the patterns are not the focus of the photo, but photographer's mind.

I understand the blur applied to people: I guess it's meant to mean that those people are faceless, or dynamic, or forgotten, or whatever, but always with a sad and depressing feeling. But, I don't understand the blur in structures, buildings, and shots that aren't abstract enough to be abstract. I'd appreciate if someone would explain to me what is blur doing to this photo?
To the author: I hope you take pictures for your and our enjoynment, but not for the vote of the anonymous Mr. Joe from DPC.

A beautiful photo of a flower, but I don't see romance in it, just a flower. 5
