Anguishby Eagle40Fox2Comment: "The anguished arancia." That's what this image makes me think anyway : ) Looking forward to the Photographer's Notes on this one to hear about the thoughts and ideas behind the photo. |

helixby liangdaweiComment: This is such a gorgeous image. The color, the composition, and the depth of field are all very well done. I think that based on the most common definition of a "still life" this image won't receive as high of a score as it would have in a different challenge. I think this probably would have even held up better in the Free Study (which says a lot of positives about the image!). Still a great photo, even if it doesn't ribbon. (Not voting.) |

Erotic (violent pornography)by blacjackComment: I wish you had used a shallower depth of field and/or moved the glasses farther from the background so you could blur out the horizon line and the texture of the background. I love the way the light looks on the glass, but I'm not completely sold on the light on the background. Maybe if it was a more subtle and smooth gradient? |

Betrayalby GeneralEComment: With slightly different lighting, you could have hid the wrinkles in the fabric while highlighting the blade. A highlight on the blade would have added a bit more of a menacing feeling to the image. I like that the vegetable looks a bit like a human heart. |

Untitledby fulgurateComment: I would have loved to see some textured lighting on this to give it some kind of location (like light through blinders or something like that) since the background doesn't give any indication as to where these items were found. I also think there is too much sharpening and a lot of artifacting. I'm not sure if that was caused by your camera or your editing process, but it does affect the quality of the image. |

Childhood Lostby markwileyComment: There are a lot of images in this challenge that make use of other photographs in them. I think this is one of the ones that would have worked just as well (maybe even better) without the photograph(s) because the other objects are so strong. |
