I like the focus, the colors and the dof, I really wish it had an off center composition. Lower left with the broken claw leading into the frame would work very well for this. I like the fact that you have picked a theme and are going with it. Keep up the good work.

I like the detail and the point of view, but the back marble with the blown highlight kills it for me. It keeps pulling my eyes away from the front marble which should be the subject.

This is a great study on a few levels, the lighting, the detail, the textures in the reflections. I really like this for its complexity while still being simple.

I like the focus, detail, composition and conversion to B&W. I dont care too much for the PP of added vignette on the outer edge. Its kind of distracting and doesnt add much to the image. Otherwise I couldnt fault it.

Welcome to the challenge,

What I like, good colors, good sharpness, pretty good detail.

What I suggest for your next shot. Lose the distractions at the top, crop?
I'd also wait and see if you can get his head. If you are going to shoot the whole bug, I think you need the eyes in focus and looking at the viewer. Good start, cant wait to see the next 9 you bring.

Def. at this magnification its a macro. I cant read the EXIF on it and the details are there. looks to be a touch of movement which hurts the sharpness. You really need to up the shutter speed or use flash to freeze the subject. I'd also like to see the whole hopper or going with a tighter crop to isolate what you are focusing on. Its almost as if you couldnt decide whole subject or highlight a specific spot, so you went in between, either way is good, but this just seems like an odd crop to me. Good start cant wait to see what the next 9 will bring.

I like the tones and hues used in this shot. If they are changed, you did a great job, if not thats interesting. Good detail and focus.

Very small DOF. Works well with this image, although I'd like to see it just a touch deeper. good color combination as well. Not to keen on the inside borders though.

Nice detail, nice colors, and I like the lighting from the side. Appears to have some bright spots on the edge of blown highlights, but doesnt take away from the image. Good start.
