Not a bad picture. I bit bland for my taste. This is a little better than average. My average is about 4.5 so good job.

Not a bad photo. Light is a bit to harsh for my liking but you needed it like that to grab the motion in this shot. Better than average.

This is a good photo. The color is good and the compositon is very good. In a different Challenge I would have scored this a little better. Only thing I can suggest is to get down a little furthur if you can. I do not like this much of an angle. Otherwise this is a good good shot.

You have done a very good Job here. I like this shot. Good Portrait and I will tell you why. You take notice to the little things. I like the fact that the back of the hands are not showing. You broke the wrists at every stop. Obviously you know Portraits. The light could have been a little lighter but you did get your point across. Wonderful.

This photo does not fit the challenge. You missed the PhotoJourn two weeks ago. This is actually great photo and I would give this a 6 or 7 in a challenge it would fit into. Title was a bit weak. Those two things really hit the score hard. I am sorry about that. :-(

Commentary:
This was a great idea with decent execution. Personally I would have turned her body in the direction of the roundy round and put her closer to the edge of the picture on the opposite side of the go round direction. Then turn her head toward the Camera to the point where you can see one ear fully and barley see the other. This gives direction and the full front shot like this is used in portraits for mainly men. Since you made this a bit of a Portrait I will comment accordingly. Never want to show the back of the hands in a portrait. That adds whats known as static and kills the lines of the shot. Another thing you want to do is break the wrist. You almost did that on the hand that is on the bar. A full front is a difficult shot to compose right. I would love to see this shot the way I described. I would bet you would be surprised.

Commontary:
This was a good idea. I think one way this could have been made a wonderful photo was by stopping the poeple in motion and let the Merry-Go-Round Blur nicely. I realize that would have been staged, but that would have Given a better overall score because I would have been able to see things I really look for when Grading. I look for a photo that I would hang on my wall.

Overall Score.

I wish the lighiting was a little better toward the back. The lines of composition move you very nicley through this shot all the way to the back and then out of the frame. Good job with that. :-)

Commontary:
I do not think this is a bad shot. I am big on geting as close as possible to the focal point. I do believe however that there are some limitations to this theory and I personally do not like it used here. I think to back away a little bit more and get closer to the ground will cause for a more intresting picture. I could be wrong but that is just my oppinion. I think your lines are decent because they lead the eye through the photograph. Decent Job. :-)
