Refinery Disaster by sahkoComment: Thank you all for the votes and comments :)
Most comments were about not making detailed shot of the disaster.
1. it was not disaster and if I'd made a detail, you would see that.
2. I tried a cropped version of this, but the whole sky is probably what makes the picture (I like how the burning sky fades).
Originally posted by Glacierwolf: The six point filter has a nice touch. The picture looks about 2.5 degrees off to the left... |
I did not use any filter, it is just normal effect from the aperture of the lens. (I used f 8) And the picture is straight, I rotated it according to the chimney in the middle, it is just a curve of the river (I was on bridge over the river).

pi by marboComment: How come there's 300D noted as a camera you used? It was in March 2003, nobody dreamed about 300D that time :)

Why did you use Olympus when you have 300D? |

Alone In The Darkby sahkoComment: Originally posted by JasonPR: Now I realize that the subject wasn't black and that's what did it. |
Originally posted by tarique: However I did not vote on this image becuase for me it is not a picture with a black object as a subject. |
Yeah, when I finnished my photo and uploaded it, I read forums about the topic and realized that my subject should be black, and that people will give low scores if it's not. But I was pretty satisfied with the photo and I did not unsubmit it and was curious how the score will be even though the subject wasn't black. So I was happy to stay over the 6 mark.
Thanks... |

The photo was not disqualified, so this must be a real thing. :) |

Splash! by arnitComment: That is a great capture, but the shirt should be dry. It's clear that this wasn't the first try. Next time bring a dozen of shirts and keep trying :) |
