The choice of background was good for this shot, but sadly that's really where it ends. The light bounce off the front coin is too much and none of the coins are in focus. Also the composition is too centralised - it would have been better off to one of the sides. Nonetheless a good concept that would benefit from practising at.

The foreground of this has a huge amount of potential - the sand and the metal ball are such contrasting surfaces, but I fail to see any advantage to the background. Perhaps I'm being dim and need this explained to me.

The composition is too centralised to give the impact this image needs. Detail on the shell could be sharper too.

Poor, poor kitty - it looks terrified and miserable. I hope you gave him/her a jolly good dry off and cuddle after this . (You didn't get kitty wet just for the shot did you?) A fun memory snap - but nothing more I'm afraid. The focus needs to be sharper and think about your composition more.

Such a shame that the edges of this magnificent bonsai are cropped off. The lighting and colour are good and it is a fascinating subject which sort of fits the challenge.

This seems to be not much of anything - but possibly has a really good story to it. Can't get the connection with odd though.

Definitely a triffid and a pretty odd thing to have in your garden. However, this image comes across as a snapshot only. The idea to take the plant from an unusual angle was a good one, but with the house in the background it detracts from the main subject.

It may be my monitor granted, but the item on the left of this shot is too dark for me to make out. Add to that the soft, distance focus on the flowers and sadly this image just hasn't fulfilled its potential to my eyes. I also have a hard time getting the link with odd.
