This image literally shows a sign, and that is just about all it does. There is minimal appeal and I have to wonder why you took the shot at night? Perhaps a very last minute snap simply to enter this challenge. I think if this was the only subject matter I had, I would have tried to exclude the telegraph pole even perhaps focus far more on just one of the signs - they look as if they are wood, and therefore they probably have great textures.

I don't get it at all, sorry. I don't understand the link to the signs theme, or even where your title fits in. Perhaps if the focus had been sharper things may have been clearer all round.

This strikes me as a snapshot of the first sign you came across after reading the challenge theme. There seems to be little consideration given to composition and structure, nor to appeal. If you had focused in on the sign alone, using the contrasting redbrick wall you could have come up with a much more interesting image.

Okay, I'll accept that flags are indicators and as such are used as signs. With this image though I can't make out what it is the flag is trying to tell me. At first I thought it was a golf green and hole, but no, that's not right. And I'm not sure about the horizon - maybe the land is on the rise away from you and that explains it, but maybe the horizon's just wonky. Hard to tell.

Not sure what they are but they don't indicate anything to me I'm afraid! Interesting colours, but the soft focus doesn't help interpret the image either. Might make an intriguing abstract, but doesn't meet this challenge I don't think.

Any one who can't spell coffee, whatever your native language, strikes me as not having made a lot of effort with their entry. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but it takes only a second to Google the correct spelling. As to the image, unfortunately the focus is rather soft and the subject matter quite a chasm away from really being anything to do with signs.
