Well, in the midst of discovering this webpage i looked around for some pictures to take, as a little project of my own. I had my phone resting against my alarm clock from the night before, after taking to my boyfriend on it. It reminded me of the many times I had stayed up late at night waiting for someone to call me. Past a certian point you begin to realize that he wont call. Thats what this picture says to me. It's not that great but it's only my first submission

thanks, some of you were very helpful. I am only beginning with digital photography, it is really a lot harder than film photography. Hopefully i will become better and not submit anymore out of focus pictures...:) thanks guys!

Shame not more in focus, good idea though

too blurry, a sharper focus would have been better for this...

I don't get it at all, sorry. I don't understand the link to the signs theme, or even where your title fits in. Perhaps if the focus had been sharper things may have been clearer all round.

No element of the picture appears to be in focus, and it's difficult to make out the phone.

too blurry

I really like the thought here, different slant on the challenge. However the low lighting and soft focus really hurts the image. It took me a few seconds to even see what else was there besides the clock. Not knowing what camera you have I can't be sure if this is what happened, but quite a few cameras are unable to focus if you are too close to the item you are photographing. Most voters are very hard on out of focus images. Remember you had a very unique idea for the challenge and that is a big part of the overall package, technical things you can learn, practice and improve much easier than trying to learn creativity which you already have.

The image needs a focal point that's in focus - perhaps having the clock numbers in focus? Looks a little underexposed too.

2. This comment is not on why 2 (because the photo has no story, and even when you consider the title, still it doesn't communicate that he won't call; and also because the photo is very poor technically); this comment is on why not 1? Because at least you went through the trouble of taking a photo and posting it.

Good idea, just too blury.

Ahh, the" he wont call" feeling!!

Not a bad composition, but something needs to be in focus.
