Thanks Kari, your comments were really helpful and encouraging. The picture was taken with the intention of focussing on the mother praying as the bride looked on. I didn't want to have the bride steal the attention so I was deciding on whether to crop the bride in half or have her appear in full. I figured either would have worked since the bride wasn't in focus anyway. I finally thought it would be more poetic if I had the bride in half giving a sense of "I'm leaving now, half away, as you pray for me.. " Don't know how that sat with the voters. It appeared to have worked half the time. I was also thinking that editing out the colors and putting sepia would add to the dramatic effect. You were right, I should have cropped down further. Thanks.

Take the shot from a lower angle so the kids and the skyscapers almost blend into one another. Focus in closer, perhaps zoom in so you have kids take up a greater part of the picture. If you have a backlight (sun behind the kids), a silhouette of the kids can make an impactful image. Sorry, I have to give you a 4.

The lighting here is a bit troublesome. The reflections are not very obvious and take up too little of the picture. The other elements in the picture crowded it out.

Good effort, but many distracting elements. A tighter crop would be good.

Too many elements in the picture. Quite confusing. You've got these nice adverts hanging from the poles. Focus one one, and juxtapose with an object that represents city life, say a tall building with interesting architecture and you might be able to do better.
