Karoriby SlimharpoComment: Starting from the bottom of the frame I really like this ... until I reach the houses. Sorry, but all those buildings are spoiling your photo. Could have done with less exposure to bring out more detail in the sky too.
The bottom third has the beginnings of a really good shot, I like the way the path curves off out of view and the rocks & grass border it very nicely. Just would be better without houses. |

Koolau Mistby CubComment: Wow, made me want to find out where this place is. Hawaii eh? I just ended up spending half an hour looking through a couple of galleries of the area on pbase : )
The first thing that grabs my eye is the mist, then the grass framing the image perfectly, then the layers in between. This is great. 10

Japanby KimInNBComment: OMG. That is absolutely beautiful. Probably the first shot (and there have been many good ones) that has made me sit back gawping at the sheer beauty. The layered effect is great. The only complaint I could possibly have is that the lower left corner is a bit plain. Brilliant. Well done. |

Untitledby KanedaComment: Ooh nice. Seems the rest of the photographers live in the most beautiful places and you live in the middle of a shroud of fog! I feel for you.
I do quite like this shot. It has a simplicity to it, and I like the use of the grass in the foreground to give it some colour. Hope the weather gets better soon. |

Spread Eagle Peakby vtruanComment: There's a real feeling of depth to this shot which I like.
The tree is probably taking up too much of the frame. I think a landscape ratio rather than square would have been better here, though I understand your wanting to use as much space as possible to show off this scenery.
Nice work. |

flameby quicksand84Comment: A great sunset shot but unfortunately the landscape, the part of the image we're voting on, is mostly silhouetted. Nice work, just not for this challenge. |

Farmscapeby KrazyKatComment: Nice shot, the barn adds colour to the scene but doesn't overpower the image. Lovely blue sky & great light *envy*, well done. |

Windswept Treeby lisaeComment: Great shot. I'm a big fan of solitary tree shots so I'm bound to like this. Good composition. The tree is in just the right place, and the foreground with the fence running just above the bottom of the frame is perfect. |

Mississippi Viewby teachme53Comment: Great use of the trees in the foreground to make this more 'landscapey'. Fills out what would be the grey void of a sky nicely. |

Winter Garden Gazeboby BitzComment: Gorgeous. Good use of the trees in the foreground and good framing of the main focal point. A very nice reflection too. Nice shot. |
