...from Critique Club...

Hi Sam

FIRST IMPRESSION:
Nice...a bit dark :|

COMPOSITION:
I think the composition is actually pretty good on this photo. Well balanced and nicely framed. I wonder what it would have looked like with more sky than land :)

TECHNICAL:
The foreground seems a bit under-exposed while the sky is a bit over-exposed. Focus and DOF are great. :|

ARTISTIC:
Not a very interesting photo to look at, but it does convey the message. I would have tried to shot it from ground level and have the path 'lead' to the villages :)

OVERALL:
I good idea that suffered a bit cause of the lighting.

Cheers and good luck in the future challenges.

Starting from the bottom of the frame I really like this ... until I reach the houses. Sorry, but all those buildings are spoiling your photo. Could have done with less exposure to bring out more detail in the sky too.
The bottom third has the beginnings of a really good shot, I like the way the path curves off out of view and the rocks & grass border it very nicely. Just would be better without houses.

Well composed. I like the sky and the sunset pink on the distant hill, that's very nice. I wish it was a little lighter in the forground.

I like the way the road leads into the picture, and the buildings in the distance add some interest. Except for the one cloud on the far right, I almost think the sky could be cropped down as it is not real exciting. Good exposure.

Maybe a little increase in Gamma to lighten up the foreground?

i don't like the foreground so much, but the best one i have seen in a while of looking 6
