Turbulence - in a glass fountain

this photo has good composition with the shiney surfaces and different colors surrounding the water. a lot going on but it fits together very well. the glass surfaces and the lines in the glass blocks all point to the water in the middle. i would like to have seen the water either stopped completely with a faster shutter speed or more soft and white with a longer shutter speed. the reason why is that the background of the picture, the glass blocks, are the point of focus because they are the things that are in focus. just my opinion. excellent photograph.

very nice composition. i like the two student's white legs facing the instructor's black legs. the extra leg in the upper right is a little distracting. the toes lined up on the left are what makes this photo. nice shot!

i like the title and it probably was a tight race but i would have liked this photo better if there was more in it. maybe from a different angle including some marker, the finish line boats, a bouy, or something.

creative. i like the framing with the two yellow handrails at the bottom and the tree and grass in the background going by. it would even have been better if you could have stretched the exposure longer to make the background spinning even more. i would have liked to have seen the girl not squinting. nice shot!

the two lights above their heads sets the scene. this looks like it was difficult with the man farther back than the woman, making it hard to get both in focus with a wide aperature to get enough light. if you had the aperature wide open then there is not much more you could do to get them both in focus except move to where they both were about the same distance from the camera. very nice shot, shows emotion and i can almost hear the beat and music.

very interesting composition. it does look like the person is flying. i would like to have seen either a fill flash or the light more in front of the subject so i could see the person's face. very original.

COMPOSITION/CONTENT: I think you have a very good subject that is the only thing in the shadows. A fill flash might have given your subject the light it needs to be the focal point of the photo.
BACKGROUND: The background is a little off balance with the tree on one side and the sky on the other. I would like to have seen the camera at a higher angle pointing down a little more on the subject. This would bring the trees on the right up higher in the picture balancing the background. Either that or move the camera to an angle where the background has similar weighting on both sides of the statue.
CAMERA WORK/TECHNICAL: Exposure and focus is good.
DIGITAL PROCESSING/TECHNICAL: A little sharpening may have helped around the statue's face. Color is good.
MY OPINION: Maybe all that might be needed is a fill flash. The details of the statue would have shown and may have made a great photograph. If this monument is close by it might be worth trying the same shot with a flash.

COMPOSITION/CONTENT: A plethora for sure! Great subject. There are several different things in the photo competing for the eye's attention: the leaves with light on them, the leaves without light on them, the different shades of the berries themselves, some in direct light, some in filtered light and others shaded. This makes it difficult for the eye to focus on one part of the picture. I also would have liked to see a close up of nothing but berries in the picture showing the different shades and colors.
BACKGROUND: I would like to see what the photo would look like with a soft fill flash to minimize the small areas with the sky showing through, as long as the flash didn't flatten out the picture as it sometimes does.
CAMERA WORK/TECHNICAL: Exposure is good and focus is good except a few tiny spots where it looks like the wind moved your subject.
DIGITAL PROCESSING/TECHNICAL: Some of the berries are very blue while some do look purple. Adjusting the red down a little might increase the overall blue look of the photo.
MY OPINION: Small bluish berries on a bush or tree are difficult to photograph, I've tried and was not successful. You've been a lot more successful with this photograph.
