I'm not sure the surrounding objects are needed in this image. I think they are hearts? I think a closer zoom on the book and replacing every other cand heart with a blue heart would have more impact. As it is, I love the colors. They are different, but positive.

I have a heard time really seeing what the image is about. It is too out of focus to really see any definable subject.

I think this is a cool image, but the fact that the entire thing is in B&W sort of takes away from the illusion a little. I think if the subject were to remain in B&W wile the wall was in color, the eye would be trained on the fact that you can see the wall through the subject. You also have a nice bit of color in the vines that might add some flare.
