Ha! Love the focus on the play on words. The tree trunk does seem to be sporting more than it should. While you had a good eye to spot this, I think there are a couple of things that could help improve the composition. First off, I think it would be better to trim off the sides so the tree then becomes the sole main focus. Also changing the compositional frame from horizontal to vertical will follow the shape of the tree and thus also compliment the shape and keep your audience focused on the main subject. Lastly, I think you could boast the dynamic tones between shadow and highlight just a bit - not too much just enough for the texture in the bark to visually pop a little more.

Oh wow, yeah, with those narrowed eyes that dog looks like it is about to attack. You have some great details but the lighting of the afternoon sun is just a tad harsh in highlights on the dog's fur are blown out a bit with the shine. Yeah, I know picky, picky right:-) Understood that you sometimes just have to take the shot to get the capture but mayhap a little levels and curves can tone it down? Also I think the composition would be better if you brought us even closer to that annoyed I'm going to get you expression. Bring us closer to the action. Lastly, the border is a bit too big especially on the bottom but I think the reason for that is that you were going to add text but discovered it was not allowed (unless of course you printed it out on paper and then took a picture of it and placed it in your composition which I believe is legal).

This is the third looksee at this image and there is just this creepy, eerie look to her. I guess it's the lighting and processing that she looks a bit plastic-y or just too smooth. The expression, backdrop, and title make me think that if I get too close or disobey then this horrible monster will jump out of this girl's skin and EAT you - sort of a monster in girl's clothing.

Great lighting and detail on this turtle. I get the humor you are trying to convey but it needs to show it in the visuals and not rest heavily on the title explanation. With expert Editing you could have image processed in a goldfish's tail sticking out of the turtle's mouth. You have a solid foundation with a good photo it just needed that little extra to give it that finishing touch.

I guess I'm about as lost on the strong connection to Meme as this girl is lonely on the beach. That aside - this is a lovely photo with great sunset lighting and a mood of solitary musing or loneliness depending on how you look at it. Just my thoughts but I think this would have done better in challenge more suited to playing on it's strengths (a sunset challenge, moods, or mayhap even Free Study)

That kitty does look like it's trying to squeeze into/out of a tight space:-) One suggestion: I think this would have greater visual impact if the photo of the cat was more larger so we could see more of this kitty and if the sharp focus was more on the cat's eye's rather than the paw. The expression on the face is what carries the Meme and it's a shame that the focus is a bit soft - it's sharper on the chest and paw.

Ah, so Sue is still around. I remember some chatter about her. Looks like she's having a nice beach vacation:-) Lighting and scenery are good - processing on the ocean looks a bit overcooked a bit. I wonder if any other DPCer's know or remember Sue or if this running topic/meme might be too limited to those who remember to 'get it'.

Ha! O.K. you never stated it but all the visuals make a strong impression that I immediately thought it. Points for the expressive humor bit:-) Great timing on waiting for the horse to turn it's head towards the audience. I just can't help it....I have a critique/suggestion. I think it would have improved the visual impact more if either: you could have taken the shot when the horse was positioned more against a more solid backdrop (i.e. those green pine trees rather than the bare branches that are a tangled backdrop or failing that zoomed in closer so the horse dominates the full frame and we get more of a stare down from those eyes.

Awww, poor doggie! What makes this photo is the look on that poor dog's face and his hunched posture that speaks "I know, I was bad." Those sad, puppy dog eyes make an emotional connection - you can't help but want to pet the poor dog. BTW nice, creative way of getting around the adding text issue.

Well that is a different form of Vadering:-) This shot has humor, it has expression, and an emotion that some can related too, but it is waaaaayyyy 'overcooked' with the processing. One other critique (and this is a small one but nonetheless could increase the visual appeal) is that "Show don't tell". We know he is a cheater from the title but there is nothing within the photo to show us without relying on the title. Perhaps having another girl laying on the ground with a fearful look on her face would have given a visual cue to the 'cheating boyfriend' or maybe a wider picture to include all of the Vadering girlfriend to show an Iphone in the other hand and on the screen it shows a picture of this same guy kissing another girl.
