Washington Square benchby lei_73Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
I like this little slice of life captured here in this street photography scene. A couple sharing the bench taking about the day. Cyclists are crossing the street riding to their destination. The play of light and shadows is just fabulous as that it adds character to the shot. B&W was the best choice for the shot so that it calls attention to the details and the light/shadow play without color to compete for the eye's attention. |

A Place to Relaxby DudskiComment: Voted earlier coming back to vote.
Excellent processing that brings the attention and focus on the bench rather than compete with the trees. Angle of composition and framing is really unique and gives me a different viewpoint to see the bench. The planks extend from the bottom right corner and extend out as leading lines that follow the pathway and lead my eye to the next bench beside it. Great textures on the weathered wood of those planks - not sure if I would take a seat but do enjoy what it adds to the shot. Well done. |

My one and only ten in the challenge. Absolutely *love* the colors, composition and light in this shot. The view from the 'gazebo' windows is exquisite from the gold/orange light of the sunset to the waters and that lighthouse!!! Those are definitely some inviting benches to come sit and watch the scenery. Really hope this takes a spot in the top three. |

Beach Sunriseby illini75Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wonderful early morning light that washes in over the shore like the waves coming in. The colors and mood of the scene is peaceful and serene. Really gives the feel of me being on the beach with just the seabirds and the sound of the surf to keep me company. |

Love how the setting sunlight bathes the landscape and the rims the grazing donkeys with a golden soft glow. Very nicely captured. |

Great B&W tones. Love how you composed the shot that the road spans out from the bottom left corner to go off into the horizon. It is a leading line that my eye follows to watch the riders on the path going off into the horizon. Well done. |

Fantastic view of the seaside town. Love how the lights are just coming on to show a nice glow in the buildings and upon the water. Stunning picture - could see this in a travel magazine. |

Love the processing that brings out the feel of walking in the rain with the drizzle to observe the beauty of the tower lit at night. Very well done. |
