Love the humor of this photo! The cat peeking out of the blue box seems to say "Not coming out today, I'll come out tomorrow". This kitty does indeed seem to be taking refuge and hiding from all the blues present in the scene.

Love how the light sparkles and shines in the stacked sea glass of blues and greens. The bokeh circles also are quite lovely and add to the daydreaming on the beach feel and mood.

What an awesome sight! Love the overhead view that gives me the unique bird's eye view of the island below, the below the shoreline, the ocean and the boat! Great title too! There are fantastic details for my eye to explore from the grassy areas on land to the rocky areas going down into the ocean depths. This is a really unique and cool view of the land and sea. Well done!

Love the framing where the overhead view of this blue flower give it the appearance of the petals bursting forth from the center. Great details too for I see the lovely textures on the petals as well as the center yellow. The droplets add another layer of visual interest along with the great pops of color of blue and yellow.

Love the low angle which makes this off road automobile fill more of the frame and take center stage. The angle also shows off the grasslands, the mountains in the backdrop and the stormy clouds threatening rain. Though battered and rusted, this blue car promises the comfort of staying dry while observing the view of the rural country.

Love the soft, pastel hues in this floral shot. Lighting and details are spot on. Great composition that centers the focus on one flower in the field giving the viewer a lovely sight to gaze upon.

A very minimalist and zen photo capturing a dragonfly at rest on a reed. The B&W presentation also makes it a study of light and shadow. I have two suggestions on how to strengthen the zen haiku feel of this photo. First try to keep that light and shadow aspect of it at minimal which means either cropping or, in this case, changing the angle slightly so that dark foliage does not appear in the frame. Second cropping or having the reeds extend out from the bottom left corner will act as leading lines for the eye to follow and be greeted with the sight of the lone dragonfly.

Tones, lighting, colors, and details are all great in this streetside shot that showcases the school building on the corner. There is some lovely architectural elements to this school building. One thing that detracts from the composition and cuts across the top portions of the main subject is those power lines. One way you can minimalize the impact those power lines have on your composition is to try to take the shot from a lower angle. I.E. by placing the camera at street level and in a looking upward angle it has the strong possibility of having all or most of the power lines cross the sky rather than cut across the building. An added bonus is that it makes the building 'appear' taller from the lower angle so it will add to the feel that it is taken from the viewpoint of a small child (which plays well with the picture of the Beck School).

Interesting shapes and patterns presented in an unusual angle that does invoke Escher's style. B&W tones are wonderfully dynamic. I wonder what more one would see if it expanded more in the horizontal region and if it would add to the composition.

There are some good leading lines in this street photography shot. The couple holding hands adds some visual interest. One suggestion I have to improve on this photo is to play with the contrasts between light and shadow to make the contrasts in this black and white more dynamic. The midtones and shadows are a bit flat. Increasing contrasts in those areas will make this photo pop more visually.
