The Barrier Beachby Bear_MusicComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
I like the 'layers' of water present here from the calm sun gleaming on the surface on the one side of the land barrier to the oncoming waves moving ashore on the other side. There is that single person standing on the shore watching the waves come in that is an added bonus of giving the viewer a grand sense of scale. |

Fantastic view of the ocean lanes below! I say lanes because this photo perfectly captures all the wakes of the boats as they travel around getting from one place to another. |

Ah Venice! The colors of the Acqua Alta draws the eye in as does the waves. I have a suggestion on how to increase visual impact of the photo. Crop out the wall with the single window on the left leaving only the arched door and all the exposed brick wall on the right. As it is now there are too many elements that draw the eyes attention. Focus your audience's attention to where they will stay, linger, and wonder what lies beyond the arched doorway once the waters recede. |

Water and Iceby markwileyComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wow! That blue hue of the iceberg and the mountains off in distance is stunning! Very beautiful! I do have one suggestion to improve visual impact of image - bring the viewer closer to the main subject. Cropping to landscape orientation with the bottom being just under the reflection of that blue iceberg not only brings the viewer closer to the stunning beauty of the place but it also compliments and follows the shape/line/orientation of the iceberg. |

Taking a breakby Yo_SpiffComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the perspective in this shot! Who hasn't taken a break sitting on the dock dangling one's feet over the edge - the activity is very relatable that one can easily put themselves in the picture. I like that this composition has the bridge reflected on the water's surface for it adds visual interest. It plays with the mind as to what is up and what is down. I do wonder what this looks like in color in that if the water reflects blue sky and white clouds that would compliment the mood of relaxation more so than B&W. |

Wow! That is a lot of seabirds/pelicans resting and flocking towards what looks to be from the shape two large boats sitting next to each other. The colors of the sunset dances upon the waves of the ocean. Very captivating and I imagine it was a fantastic sight to behold. |

Calm and tranquil scenery. This invites the viewer to take a seat on the bank of the river and just enjoy the quiet hush of the beauty before us. It is very easy to hear the gentle rippling of the water as it touches the shore and the air is crisp and cool. |

A lovely and inviting picture of the seashore - the tranquility of the scene beacons the viewer to take off ones shoes and take a stroll on the wet sand. |

Well seen! My eye constantly looks at this capture to figure out which is up and which is down. The line of trees lulls one into thinking that it is above ground but then on closer look the leaves in the water and shadow reflection of one tree in the water are above the trees. The 'sky' and trees have changed places in this captivating photo. My only suggestion on how to possibly improve on the photo is to increase the contrast between light and shadows to make it visually pop a bit more. |
