Clone Trooperby FirstwolfAkComment: With dreams of glory running through his brain
he joined the troops to enforce the Imperial proclaim.
Join or die, the galactic empire spread it's rule
Installed with belief the Rebels & Jedi are but fools.
He clad himself in armor of sovereign white
and armed with pistol whose beam could deliver deadly smite.
Fortunately, laser shots went awry for he and others had lost sight
that the call for freedom and hero's luck will always make right.
.
Nice costume:-) I like how the lighting on your subject shows him merging into the darkness...as that he is part of the Dark Side;-) Great details and portrait of an iconic character from the Star Wars Universe. |

Broken Homeby JSRComment: Beyond the valley green,
down in fields of gold
lays a broken dream
empty and forgotten.
I find the juxtaposition of the broken house with the golden fields and green valley very symbolic of the lost dream. A house to call home perhaps for generations. But here is lies empty and abandoned - the green valley I see as spring and renewal - but for this broken home there will be none. The fields of gold being the realm where fond memories of the past can be revisited (the golden years) offer no shelter for the broken dream of 'home' is not just physically broken & forgotten but that of the spirit as well. |

20110220_Walt_Disney_Manby PaulFrocchiComment: The clock struck six. Elias packed up his sketches, placed them in his briefcase, and left for home. As he walked out the door, his mind still danced with grand and magical ideas. Much like the architecture of the building, Elias' imagination was sweeping & swirling. The lines of thought were curving and curling, free from rigid constraints.
The architecture of this building is wonderful - the mind's eye just follows the flow of curved and free lines. This is what can be build when imagination is not locked in the rigid rectangular shape of thought. B&W tones are great for it really highlights the beauty of the buildings shape and curves. |

Southern Eleganceby grahamgatorComment: Dove like petals bloom
in nests of evergreen leaves
Hatched in the garden,
the ambrosia scent is pure delight.
The white hue of the magnolia is pure and elegant. It just pops visually from the dark backdrop and with gorgeous detail! |

Painted Reflectionsby fpalumboComment: Leaves are dipped in autumn pigments.
Trees paint with quick broad strokes
leaving watercolor impressions on lake canvas.
Perfect title for this photo - the colors of the season are reflected upon the lake's surface like an impressionist painting. Very lovely. |

A Tough Dayby BradComment: I seek the solitude of the shade after the difficulties of the day. Time to kick off my shoes and dust off my cap. I will not have long to wait for the door to open and the warm, sunshine smile that will welcome me home.

An interesting capture of an everyday slice of life. He does look like he has had a tough day and is taking comfort in the shade. What struck me as interesting is that door is a bright sunny yellow. It makes me hope that there is warm sunshine that waits inside to greet him after a tough day. |

over the green horizon
flowers shine bright.
You have beautiful, bold colors on these sunflowers. The processing brings out some rich details. This field just bursts with sunshine happiness:-) |

Pathway in the mistby NeatComment: I set sail on the meadow's grassy waters.
Paddling towards the forest shore,
my trail leaves a wake behind me.
I look for the sun's beacon
shining through the mist
granting me safe passage to
shelter of the woodland.
Love how the mist shrouds the land and gives it a mystical, magical air. The trail and the man on it adds visual interest to this misty landscape. I saw the trail behind the man and I instantly thought of a wake a boat leaves behind. That then lead to the imagery of this lone man 'sailing' towards the forest beyond the meadow. |

Fallenby instepsComment: Remains of the fall
lay scattered below.
Her arbor crown is laid bare,
with the Winter Lord's arrival
to claim the throne.
You have some fabulous detail in withered leaves. The black & white processing really calls my attention to the textures of the leaves and the ground. The B&W then lead to thoughts of loss of color. The leaves are like jewel colors from emerald green to topaz yellows to ruby reds. After autumn is done and gone the trees are bare and without color - the 'winter lord' lays claim |

Touchdownby HighNoonerComment: The wind wails,
the sky weeps,
as thunder echos
on canyon walls.
The imprint of man
lies in ruins
on mountain high.
No one remains
to listen to
the heaven's voice.
My eye explores the ruins first then it travels to see the expanse of mountains and the sky pouring rain. What a great view ancient man had on this mountaintop to view the majesty of the earth and sky. |
