Shapely Gravityby Moose101Comment: Too bad that the focus is not quite on the droplet. Nice idea, and worth shooting again. |

The perfect shape?by unnevaComment: This is a great setup, but the shadows are so strong that they detract from the egg shape rather than reinforcing it. Perhaps softer or more diffuse lighting? Perhaps shooting from a different angle to minimize the shapes of the shadows and thus emphasize the shape of the egg? |

Raindrops on the petals.by BillysSweetieComment: Sorry for scoring this so low, because it is a great interpretation of the challenge, and it has nice focus and composition.
But the image is so small that the detail and overall impact in the photo is lost.
You can submit images up to 640 pixels on the larger dimension. |

Heart-shaped Boxby WawaaComment: Sorry, but there are just too many distractions in this photo.
The cropping around the main shape is very tight; the photo would benefit from some plain background space.
The floral pattern on the box takes away from the heart shape.
The object in the upper right corner draws the eye away from the central object.
The tag coming out of the box breaks up the echoing heart-shaped shadow from the box bottom.
And, the verbal message contradicts the visual message in a very distracting way.
If the visual distractions were removed, perhaps this could be an interesting "mixed message" photo... but as it is, the photo doesn't say "shape" to me. |

Edible Shapesby acerbisComment: Interesting shot, but the idea of shape is lost because most of the objects are out of focus. Try shooting with a narrower aperture (larger f-stop number) to get a wider depth of field and more of the objects in focus. This will enhance the idea of comparing shapes |

wind chimesby zheka78Comment: Nice angle and interesting interpretation of the challenge. Unfortunately, most of the image is out of focus. Try shooting with a smaller aperture (f16 or f22) to get a greater depth of field to get more of the object in focus.

merry christmasby ayanna3000Comment: Sorry, but this image is out of focus. The point of focus appears to be in the branches several inches behind the ornament.
The photo is also over-enlarged and pixelated.
Nice idea, but you need check the image before you post it. |
