| 03/24/2006 01:10:36 PM | Sun Conuresby saracatComment: I like it even with the wires. DOF is good, colors are great, birds look as if they were mirror images of each other, not quite, but close. Lighting is good, focus good, just a nice capture. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 03/24/2006 12:38:55 PM | Too Drunk to Driveby olddjComment: Well, sorry all, but flash was NOT used, was trying for a center of focus with a hand held table light. That is why it gets so dark so quickly behind pb jar, light did not extend there, course it did make the black counter look a bit grey, but that type of thing happens often with strong, direct light. Sorry again, LOL, but I still think it is an okay photo for what I was trying to do, wish more of you had thought the same!!

| 03/20/2006 04:11:47 PM | Too Drunk to Driveby olddjComment: I certainly missed again here, oh well, twas meant to be a not "pretty" shot, as you may see it the morning after the night before, sort of like a police or newspaper pic. Did NOT want to pretty it up, and a couple people got it, obviously, but I missed by a mile with most. Oh well, LOL. The ripped plate was supposed to represent the fact he/she was so badly off, could not find a knife, used the glasses as a spreader and ripped the plate with the edge of the glasses. They are real bifocals, btw, and after carefully cleaning them with non abrasive cloth and HOT water, very usable now. On my face as I type this. Thanks to all that left comments, can understand why it did so poorly, ALMOST got me my first ribbon though!! LOL Second place is no good for BAD, still bad and no ribbon!!

| 03/20/2006 01:29:22 PM | Lemurby RiponladyComment: Actually, I have been left a comment from the person that picked out one from my portfolio, once! LOL Great idea, hope it catches on! This is a very good capture, the essence of the lemur seems to come through very well. Only critique for me is the amount of light reflecting off the lemur's "right arm".

| 03/11/2006 08:43:07 AM | Checkby GrahveComment: IMO, because it was a square crop contest, the dividing lines on chessboard could have been perpindicular/parallel to the crop, to me would give greater impact in this challenge | Photographer found comment helpful. |
