Electric Glowby bethcwatsonComment: Lovely color low key! Some may discount this for lack of sharpness which is too bad. My fave so far!8 |

passageby kolasiComment: Love the texture and light. It unfortunately seems to lack a subject- a place for the eye to rest. Whatever is in the background distracts from it. |

Shaman Ritualby StrikeslipComment: The tight framing and composition is good. The snarl and bared teeth are dynamic too which help but the thing you will be losing points on in voting is the blur. If you had those teeth sharp you would have easliy been a couple points higher in voting. |

Chariot Teamby JeffryZComment: The "spotlight" was not added during processing- it was a competition in an arena with a covered roof that still allowed light in the center of it. Other competitors had more modern carriages and costumes- it was their gear and outfits which attracted me to them and also led me to use processing which emphasized the "old" look including higher contrast and more limited colors. Thanks everybody for the votes and comments! |

Obstructed Viewby maynerd12Comment: Beautiful night shot. Having troubles picking out the fireworks though- is that them between the two tallest looking buildings just left of the center of the photo? |

A wide angle helps make them look bigger- I was shooting about 14- 17mm on my Nikon D80 (DX sized sensor). |
