Very gentle, subtle image. I waffle between finding the softness appropriate given the lighting and shades to wanting just a bit more sharpness to all that white (in the building, the sails). I like the squarish crop, and the choice of subject is excellent.

Atlas and Persephone

Excellent composition here, and good choice to have "Waldo" as an extra and not the focus of the image. The use of the church spires to complement the composition of Atlas works well, though having Atlas completely in silhouette is a bit distracting for me (I generally don't care for full silhouettes -- my own personal preference). I still think this is a strong image, made stronger by excellent choices in composition. Well done.

Botanical Garden

Interesting lighting and colors on the building at the end of the water, with nice reflections and colors in that section, as well. The sky distracts me a bit, given its lightness in relation to the darkness of the rest of the scene. On the whole the lighting hides Waldo, but might have been more attractive with more attention paid to the darker areas. Composition works well, though, and I do find the overall coloring appealing.

There are pieces of this that really appeal to me, like the roof line juxtaposed against such a blue sky. Losing Waldo through soft focus doesn't work as well for me, though, and the shades don't improve that. The ripples on the water are also a bit distracting in the way they reflect the building colors -- couldn't you have stopped the wind blowing? :) I generally do like the shot, though, and composition fits with the purpose of the shot.

Imposter

Great take on the challenge, with an interesting (to put it mildly) image, from the images on the wall, to the person at the desk, to the imposters. Lighting is a bit flat -- probably explained by the indoor location -- but composition works well. A solid entry.

Legend of the Falls

Great choice of locations, with lots of stuff going on visually. The slowish shutter speed gives some motion (flow?) to the water, which is appealing. I wonder if a bit more contrast might strengthen this a bit; as is it seems a bit flat to my eye, though this perhaps helps in hiding Waldo by blending the shades together.

Really interesting image, well shot; good take on the challenge, and wonderful use of long exposure here to make the image. The star bursts on the building lights are wonderful, and the overall impressiveness of the building allows the image to stand on its own. Nicely seen and shot.

Wannabe

This is a neat take on the challenge, and I like the use of the bright hat to emphasize that you know we see your "Waldo" here. Cute expression, and some nice plays of light across the green leaves. The appearance of the blue flowers toward the back adds a nice touch.

Waldo in the Kitchen

Great idea, and I think the final result works well with the subject. Inside, in a kitchen, just the eyes showing. I like it. I might have put the other two hats in the same line as the Waldo hat (maybe putting them on your hands?), but otherwise I think the whole look of this serves it well.

Down by the River

Something about the colors here really draws me in; they're soft, almost desaturated, but a bit harsh and yellowish. I like the contrast that brings to me, and the feel that where I am behind these trees is cool and shady and the other side of the river is hot and sunny. Definitely brings to mind a lazy summer day. I might have moved the trees out of the center of teh image, but given the purpose I think it works okay here.
