The photograph is pretty well done, though I would have tried to get the whole rope in focus, but the subject matter doesn't do much for me. The background is distracting, and it all seems a bit much to me. The rope on a white or other solid background would have been much more to my liking!

Really neat image, strikingly done in B&W. Well executed, though the light is a tiny bit too bright for me (it's lost, but it's a potentially important part of the shot).

City Patterns

This is a nice image (I especially like the parking officer apparently writing a citation), but I don't see the true pattern (other than that patterns are everywhere in our daily lives, which doesn't really address the challenge in my mind). I still like the shot, though I think some work on the darker areas and cropping out the sat dish at the top left would tighten it up a bitr.

I'm struggling to find what it is that I don't like about this shot, which has an interesting pattern and technically suitably executed shot. I think perhaps the pattern is too all-encompassing for me, and it's too simple of a pattern to carry the weight of the entire subject matter of the photo. The picture is too much pattern, without any context. While I can tell what it is (at least I think I can), something broader would have appealed to me more.

The more I look at this, the more I like it; I originally thought it was ice, but then realized it was water. There do seem to be some focusing issues (it's lost at some points where I think it wasn't intentional). It's still a nice shot, though!

Dabble Grey Pattern

Good pattern, well executed, but I would have worked a bit more on the model to move the extra hairs that cross the head at the top of the photo (these could probably have been cropped out without much loss of effect). I probably would have cropped out the loss of focus in the lower left corner, as well, but that's me!
