dancing shoesby funnylooksComment: I feel I disagree about the title of the shot, since it seems much more a fashion shot than a dance/movement shot. But that aside, the composition, contrast and form are very powerful and effective creating a beautiful image. Simple and elegant. |

"Hard Days Night"by NahmanComment: Very effective use of depth of field and lighting to pick out the shoes. An adorable image all round, but could have been even more intimate by cropping out the wall, and a little of the left hand side bringing in tighter to the babys head. Whereas in other situations such close cropping might appear claustrophobic and too intense, this subject would easily disarm any such impressions and actually makes the mood even warmer and more cosy. |

People change like shoes.by ChinhyukComment: There could be a lot more going on in this image. There doesn't seem to be any dialogue with the viewer beyond: "here's my shoes which I just placed on this step". There's nothing in the picture to indicate change. |

Baring Bert's Soleby arlanbartComment: Not close enough to get an abstract type textural picture, and too close to take advantage of evoking the era that the shoes portray, ie: 1940's Casablanca type shot. |

AAAAAAAAA!!!!!by larscComment: Hehe, funny! Has buckets of potential to be a winner.
Would be better with a different set-up so you get the shoe in focus as well, since it is suppossed to be in the same plane as the girl. Maybe taking the shot with the shoe closer to the girl, and then cropping the image down later. Not sure if you have access to different lenses, you might try a wide-angle for greater DOF, or maybe a smaller aperture might possibly do the trick. The lighting between both is also inconsistent. |

kitten heels!by parrotheadComment: The choice of black shoe against a black background, practically removes the shoes from the subject, making the kitten entirely the focus of this this shot. |

Achillesby hitmanrrComment: The whole left hand side of the picture is superfluous, and is much stronger without it. In fact the bottom right 1/4 of the pic (the shoes and shadow) are all that's needed. |

Has someone seen my right shoe????by SinisterComment: There's no effort to make the shoe seem lost that's evident. Placing the shoe under/behind a rock and dominating the focus and foreground, while someone fumbles about under blankets or something in the background would have been more effective |
