Centered composition really works well with this shot! Seeing 2 beautiful sights at the same time is amazing!

gave it a 7 because I feel there is something missing in the shot, I can't put my finger on exactly what. Maybe its the shallow DOF or the lack of it, or the lack of focus / details of hair.

Its beautiful capture, great timing and I know they are difficult to catch in time must have taken a few shots to get this right! Great effort!

Only negative is while the shot is great to make it a 10 at DPC I have started expecting spot on focus, from head to tail, wings frozen and both of them visible - I know it is hard to get that, I can never get it (hence the lack of ribbons in my profile) - 7

Reason why I didn't vote this higher : This needs to be straightened just a tad bit.. it would help the shot a lot! Also while this is probably not posed, a beautiful model at the same location would have made this shot a definite 10!

Beautiful catch light and great control of light with the second eye still showing up a little. Beautiful model! I gave it a 8 and the only reason why not a 10 is because when I reduced my browser window size to crop it further (to visualize) so that I am not seeing any background or the hand I like it better - my 2 cents!

Great lighting! Those catch light in the eyes are really well done! Messy hair on the top and loss of definition near the feather end is distracting and without that I would have given it a point or two more(coming from a person who cannot even achieve a lighting result like this) .. 8

Far up north where I live these are hard to find in this season, its a welcome sight! Beautifully captured.. a little more depth with the front petals being in focused would have really made it outstanding, but still a great shot! 8
