Entering Sissetonby WRenComment: alright. this one i have to think about. it is one of the best photos i have ever seen on this site. the composition and your blatant denial of the rule of thirds works beautifully. the contrast settings and empty feel on the left are awesome. and the billboard saying "give up. it works!" torn from a christian message is so wonderfully bleak. that's either a brilliant subject modification on your part or a really lucky find. ....however. for the life of me, i can't figure out how it fits the challenge. i'm really trying too. it's making me feel stupid. lol. so i'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you knew what you were doing, and give you a ten. |

More Delays on the London Undergroundby KonadorComment: very interesting photo. the contrast of the black at the bottom and white and the top really works. the angles are interesting. the overall lack of colors other than yellow and skintones, and the muting of those makes it look cold and mechanical. ...and kinda like penguins. beware the penguins. 10? yeah, 10. |

Flowerby Title9Comment: it's not exactly photojournalism, unless you work for national geographic. which works. i'm gonna give it a ten because it's actually really good compositionally, and the artifacts create an interesting texture. and everyone else will hate it. that's ok, i think you did a wonderful job. |

Roadside Remembranceby myqylComment: nice use of channel desaturation. i can't believe people even get called on this anymore. not sure it's standard photojournalist procedure, but it definitally works for the shot. |

Mini Tourniquet: 25¢by Gracechild7Comment: ptl: in defense of grace, the title was my idea. i meant it as a joke, but it apparently stuck. and yes. i know what a tourniquet is, thank you. it's something that stops the flow of blood. |
