The Great Escapeby KonadorComment: Now that's funny. Great colors, lighting, and composition, and really great idea. Good luck. |

Not the usual dinner guestsby snsComment: Very nice idea, or at least find. You might've run this through NeatImage - there's a bit of grain to the blue. |

Prairie Boundby SonifoComment: The colors are striking, the composition is good, and the subject is well selected. It's a shame about the barbed wire, in my opinion, but this is still a great picture. |

"Wild, Wild, West"by tfarrell23Comment: This has a real tumbleweed, old west feel to it. Nice composition, and use of color. The sky seems to suffer from oversaturation, too much contrast, or something that's giving it grain/artifacts. Nice picture, though. |

Creeping Towards the Skyby BassInABandComment: Your photograph suffers from lack of a focal point and generally being small. I think this would've been an intriguing macro had more of the sky/background foliage been cropped out and had you used the full available dimensions.
Probably what you're suffering from most, though, is a popular "What IS that?" Without a focal point, my eye wanders around this picture without finding anything to settle on. Check the tutorial on the rule of thirds- once you get a feel for that, the pictures start to pop. |

Lost Innocenceby AzrifelComment: Strange. The right statue looks more "classical" than anything. I mean, we even seem to be going the opposite direction - John Ashcroft had the "private" areas of the statues in official buildings in Washington covered. |

candy makerby BassInABandComment: Hm, you appear to have downsized this picture a little too much. You should contact a friend, or acquaintence, who knows how to do so for the next challenge.
Otherwise, the colors are nice, and I like your DOF. I do wish the bee had been more off-center, did you consider the ROT? Concept is good, always interesting to see a bee in the middle of burying himself in a flower. Good luck. |

Blue Springby kimacazieComment: Good job, Kim. After looking at this, I'm not sure if I'd've liked it better if it was in sharp focus, although the slight blur is a quick turnoff for most voters. It has a really unobtrusive feel this way, dreamlike almost. Message edited by author 2003-04-14 17:08:42. |
