dimes&limesby myceliumComment: who would have thought there would be two "dimes and limes" pictures? I like this one better. 6 |

Delusions & Livesby Dr.ConfuserComment: Ha, yes, it took me a while to understand the image. The title is a bit of a stretch, so I can't give you full marks, but still creative. 6 |

Dead Legsby hstegComment: Great colorful spider. The OOF leg in front of the body is distracting. If possible, I would have had the OOF leg be the one away from the body. Could a different composition have achieved that? I'm guessing you focused on the eyes and had the camera at the absolute minimum focal distance. That will naturally blur the foreground images and sometimes shortens the DOF. A small pullback from the minimum distance will give you a little extra DOF because you then get some foreground in focus rather than having it cut off immediately by the limitations of the lens. (Does that make sense at all? Am I just squawking?) Anyway, 7. |

Dreadlocks & Lollipopsby dsa157Comment: The combo is a little forced for the challenge...would you ever do this picture outside of D&L? However, the portrait is excellent and I gave it a 7 anyway. |

Dangerous & Lethalby TrollManComment: I'm not too keen on military or gun pictures, but the composition of this Warthog is excellent. The cannon is a little dark and maybe some dodging could bring out the individual barrels better. 7 |

Death & Loveby dewedComment: The power of the image overwhelms any technical difficulties. 7 |

down & lonelyby frumoazniculComment: I like this picture, but the foreground object looks too much like a water bottle and thus doesn't quite fit the scene. Had it been a liquor bottle, I would have left it in, otherwise I may have cropped differently or removed it. 7 |

Dark Lensesby samtrundleComment: I really like this picture. The negative space echoes the lenses well. The detail of wrinkles is great as well as his frown. A tiny bit overexposed on his forehead/scalp. Don't worry, I didn't knock you for not having an '&'. 8. |
