Lots of potential here...you've captured a mood of quiet introspection that I think would come across even better in B&W. Perhaps playing with highlight/shadows could help to reduce that uneven light across the nose. And of course if you could boost the sharpness a bit that would further improve it. :)

Gotta love a good snow squall to add some interest to a shot. Viewing this type of impromptu candid is helping me to build up my courage to take similar shots. The worst that can happen is they say no, right? And chances are, you might get a great shot like this one. I really like how they're framed in the doorway.

Beautiful, Sandy! What incredible focus and perfect DOF! The reflection in the water is great. I really like how the background enhances the portrait and how some of the elements serve to frame those cute girls.
