Emotional Rendevous with la Chocolate.......by CoopGirlComment: The framing is good. The refridgerator in the background doesn\'t seem to add much but it also doesn\'t seem to take away from the shot either. This shot has some surface level amusement value, but in terms of artistic consideration I\'m not impressed. It doesn\'t strike me as particularly creative or unique, but it does come across as a little distasteful and rather mindless. I wouldn't say it conveys emotion effectively either. I guess the whole concept just doesn\'t appeal to me, although execution isn\'t bad. 3 |

Triptych: Old Faded Emotionsby kosmikkreeperComment: well first off I'll say that a triptych on a single exposure with this level of clarity and precision is highly impressive. However, all three of these frames seem somehow forced or unnatural. So you get big points for innovation, but not many for impact and effectiveness. 6 |

Katherine's bridgeby robsterComment: I'm impressed by the fact that I think you managed to push every score lowering button that dpc is infamous for. You've got a soft focus, high grain, blatent nudity, and a stretched interpretation of the challenge. With that considered I'd say beating out 3 other people is a pretty good finish. =P In all seriousness though, I do like the colors of this shot and I think it walks an interesting line between being abstract and straight forward. I'm not sure what I would have scored it (I didn't vote), but as you said, it's an experiment, and I'm of the opinion that almost any experimentation is a good thing, this shot includes. Good luck on future challenges. Don't ditch edginess for your scores if you can help it. |

In the Winter Fields ...by nathaliedooComment: Wow. I love this shot. The color is great, the subject, placement, crop, and everything are all wonderful. I hope this one wins. It's my only 10 so far. |

Stone Wall, Shutters Closedby jjbeguinComment: I'm not sure how appealing this would be for stock photography, but it's an awesome shot so I'll ignore that fact. I like the wide variation of textures in this shot. The framing works well too. Good luck. |

so white, so silentby kenboComment: I'd have straightened out the building and let the foreground tree be diagonal. I like how the snow outlines everything in the shot. Nice work. |

Jelly Belliesby KazComment: Brand name in a stock photo isn't good. The shot is ok. I think the glares on the beans detracts from the shot. The variety of color is good. |

555-7737by Fibre OptixComment: having just the bottom row of buttons out of focus seems distracting to me. My eyes are drawn to the # key and the 0 just because they don't flow with the rest of the shot. Otherwise I like the shot. I even like that the non-digits buttons are blurred.. just a little more depth of field would help though. |

Annual Reportby JakComment: interesting perspective. I think the somewhat uneven look adds to the shot. |

Pipe Dreamsby greenem2Comment: I'm not sure about the crop. The tight bottom right crop seems unbalenced with the looser top left crop. And while I know it was intentional, I personally don't like the focus being drawn to the foreground.. I think I would have prefered the foreground be out of focus and the other end of the pipe be in focus. |
